Snake Watch 12

Brown Snake

This looks to me like a juvenile eastern brown snake. I am guessing it is just under a metre long. Unfortunately, it seems to have chosen a well-trafficed area to take up residence. As you see, the pond is at ‘low tide’ at the moment after weeks of hot dry weather. Maybe if I top up the water level, this beastie might decide to move on a bit.

On second thoughts, I think this is a job for a snake catcher. This one just can’t be allowed to live right there.

  1. Yes Garry, the snake catcher is an excellent idea…. I’m not keen to walk past the pond!
